Training at Blackheath Oval

Training is an essential part of a childs participation in their team.

Training takes place just one afternoon per week, followed by a match in Lithgow at the weekend.

Training is an essential element of your child's participation and enjoyment of the game and their team.

Children are encouraged to attend training each week to build a rapport with their coach and team mates,

and begin their understanding of the game.

Only children registered with Blackheath FC can participate in training.

Friends of players on the team are not encouraged to join in training.

Training gear is available through our club shop. Go to the Team Merchandise   page.

Full match day kit is not necessary for training however football boots, shin pads and football socks are recommended.

The boots, shin pads and socks combination can feel a bit clunky for some children, so the more they use them, the easier it gets.

Confirmed training times for all teams!

U6 - Tuesdays at 5pm

U7 - Tuesdays at 5 pm

Note: for U6 and U7 the first week falls on Anzac Day so it will be Wednesday at 5pm for that week only.

U8 - Wednesdays at 3:45 pm

U9 - Wednesdays at 3:45 pm

U10 - Wednesday at 4:00 pm

U12 - Wednesday at 5:00 pm

Training begins April 26th, and the first match on April 29th. The draws will be confirmed on April 21st and we will post them here.

We are still short a coach for the U12 team (the U10 coach will do the training temporarily), please get in contact if you might be interested.

We really want to see the U12s play this year but it can't happen without a coach! It's a great opportunity to get involved and learn some new skills. No experience needed and we have lots of resources to share to help you out.
